Capacity added to Prince George COVID-19 testing clinic

PRINCE GEORGE- PG residents were unable to book a COVID-19 test yesterday (Monday) due to the testing centre reaching full capacity for the following three days. This did not impact any pre-existing appointments.

As a result, Northern Health has added capacity to the testing centre, which is located at Parkwood Place. More staff members have been hired at the facility.

“We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding,” stated Northern Health Spokesperson, Eryn Collins.

Northern Health would like to remind residents that a test is recommended when one or more of the following symptoms occur:

• Fever (above 38º C)
• Chills
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Loss of sense of smell or taste
• Difficulty breathing
