Beaudry set for return to Olympics

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George’s Sarah Beaudry will once again be wearing her national colours next month after being named to the Canadian Olympic Biathlon Team.

She’s one of just four returning athletes to make the team as she gets set fr her second consecutive Olympics.

Beaudry is a former medallist at the World Junior Championships, winning bronze in the pursuit in 2014. In the season following her Olympic debut in Pyeongchang, she recorded a career-best 12th place finish on the Wrld Cup circuit in the 7.5km sprint.

Also joining Beaudry is Burns Lake’s, Emily Dickson.

She competed in her first World Cup events in 2020, just ahead of her debut at the Senior World Championships where she was part of a ninth-place finish in the women’s 4x6km relay.

The two are a part of the eight-athlete Olympic team.
