Upper Fraser road traffic concerns some residents.

PRINCE GEORGE – One person died yesterday morning when they collided with a logging truck on the Upper Fraser Road located east of Prince George.

Some residents who live near Upper Fraser Road are unhappy with the growing traffic on the rural road.

Just before 8 Tuesday morning, emergency crews responded to a severe collision that occurred less than three kilometres from the community of Willow River.

According to residents, the person who died was a community member.

The two-lane paved 55 kilometre Upper Fraser road winds its way from Highway 16 to the community of Upper Fraser.

The collision has triggered a call from residents wanting to have a conversation with those who use the road and government officials.

Those residents looking for a safer roadway say they will keep pushing for a solution to avoid another tragedy.
