PRINCE GEORGE– The report found an estimated 93 bodies of children found around the site of the former residential school. In light of the findings, Lheidli T’enneh Chief Dolleen Logan urged the government and catholic churches to help with funding for the investigation, considering only 14 of 470 hectares have been searched. She also has a message for those who still believed physical, emotional, and sexual abuse never took place, asking them to close their eyes and imagine what those children went through. Chief Dolleen also said that it’s only a matter of time before the Lejac Residential School gets searched for remains and that Lheidli T’enneh will be there to give any resources asked of them to help out.
