PRINCE GEORGE — The city and local mounties have unveiled a CCTV registry in a bid to improve public safety.
Starting now, residents can voluntarily register their surveillance recording cameras in confidence with the city via the new CCTV registration program.
The registry will be managed by the city and will be accessible to the police. By accessing the registry, RCMP will be able to quickly identify the location and owners of potential sources of video evidence, which will decrease the time, effort, and cost of a variety of incident investigations.
You can participate by filling out a form on the city’s website.
