CNC Dental Students looking to offer low-cost teeth cleaning

PRINCE GEORGE– Getting your teeth cleaned can be expensive and hard to fit into your schedule, especially during a pandemic. However, the CNC Dental program may be an option for those on a tight budget.

It’s the annual time of year when CNC Dental students need patients for their programs in order to be evaluated and even graduate. This year has been especially challenging with the pandemic and students are using every resource possible to find patients. Whether that means promoting it on Facebook or handing out flyers or hoping it spreads by word.

Most cleanings by a professional can cost up to $250 however, the nominal fee at CNC is $50 for an adult and $25 for a child. The only catch for those interested in this service is a longer time commitment.

Dental assistant students are providing polish and fluoride services to people between the ages of 3-21, while dental hygiene students give full cleanings which can take up to a few hours and a couple of appointments. Since it’s not like a dental office it will probably take around two to three hours rather than one.

However, even though it might take a little longer, it’s always great experience for students to get the practice they need rather than practicing on mannequins.

If you would like to schedule a cleaning or find out more information you can call 250-561-5810 or go to CNC dentistry Services on their website and help out a student all while getting your teeth cleaned for a low cost.
