While many of the meetings offer a chance for support and socialization, it also offers a chance for the trio to share their experiences over zoom to researchers who are trying to learn more about what people suffering from long COVID are dealing with.

Unfortunately, some of the discussion is also around so called ‘crashes.’

Crashes are when COVID long-haulers relapse with COVID-19 symptoms such as tiredness, ringing in the ears, complete exhaustion, loss of memory, etc.

Although there are only three active members, there are believed to be many others in Prince George and Northern BC who suffer from long COVID.

Reports in the UK claim over 1.3 million people there have been COVID long-haulers at some point during the pandemic.

It is unknown how many Canadians suffer from long COVID, although the members of this group believe there are many who need support in our community.

For those who want to get involved, all it takes according to those who facilitate the group is a call or a message to the PG Hospice Palliative Care Society.
