One person killed, another seriously injured in Wednesday morning crash

PRINCE GEORGE — RCMP have confirmed one person died in yesterday morning’s two vehicle crash on Highway 16 in the Graves Road area.

Police say a second person remains in hospital in serious condition while the occupants of the second vehicle vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred at 7:22 a.m. No word yet on what caused the crash. The collision closed the highway in both directions for several hours as police conducted their investigation.

“Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased in their time of mourning,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP. “This investigation is ongoing. There will be no further updates.”
