Health Canada authorizes made-in-Canada COVID-19 vaccine

OTTAWA- Health Canada’s approval of a made-in-Canada COVID-19 vaccine signals the beginning of the end of the country’s reliance on foreign drug makers.

Medicago’s two-dose vaccine, called Covifenz, uses technology that does not involve animal products or live viruses like traditional methods. It has been authorized for people aged 18 to 64.
