PRINCE GEORGE – Dr. Bonnie Henry, BC’s Provincial Health Officer made it official Thursday afternoon, the mandate on face masks would be lifted effective March 11.

Starting March 11 face coverings will no longer be required in public spaces as BC follows the lead of several other Canadian provinces who are also lifting mandates such as Ontario and Alberta.

In other changes, gathering limits for churches and other faith gatherings will also be removed and visits to long term care facilities are no longer limited to two people.

Effective April 8, the BC Vaccine Card will no longer be required and vaccine requirements for post-secondary residences will be lifted.
