Premier Horgan speaks to Ukranian community leaders in BC
PRINCE GEORGE – Premier John Horgan spoke to leaders of the Ukrainian community this morning discussing the possibility of settling refugees in the province.
During a media availability held Friday Horgan said housing incoming Ukranians would be the biggest challenge the province will face. He said all options would be considered including using university housing and ski hill lodging during off seasons to give potentially hundreds of refugees a place to stay.
Horgan said the efforts to help Ukrainian settlers would be “all hands on deck.”.
Horgan continued by saying “those not for profit organizations that get up every day to try and find ways to make life easier for those that are coming to Canada, they are stretched to the max.”.
