RCMP vehicle set on fire next to local detachment
PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are investigating after an RCMP vehicle was set on fire next to the Prince George detachment.
RCMP say they responded to the fire shortly after 4:30 a.m. this morning (March 17) near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Vancouver Street.
“Prince George Fire Services also attended to assist in putting the blaze out. At the time of the fire, the vehicle was unoccupied,” says Cpl. Sonja Blom. “Although the file is still in the early stages, investigators have determined that the fire was the result of arson.”
