Mayor’s Black & White Arts Soirée returns for first time since COVID
PRINCE GEORGE — After a two year hiatus the Mayor’s Black and White Arts Soirée is coming back on May 14, 2022, at Theatre Northwest.
The Community Arts Council of Prince George, the Prince George Symphony Orchestra and Theatre NorthWest have announced that the community event that raises funds for local arts programs will be making its return today. The event will be hosted by Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall and his wife Lorelle Hall and will feature music, dance and live art.
“Over the trying times of the past two years, it has been our local arts organizations who have worked tirelessly to lift our spirits, and in spite of significant and at times seemingly insurmountable challenges, they continued to provide our community with local culture, events, live performances, marketplaces, creative classes, youth opportunities and more,” says Mayor Lyn Hall. “I look forward to accompanying my wife and our community leaders for a night of celebration and an opportunity to show our support for those who enrich our community through the arts.”
Food, drinks and auctions will be featured at the event and funds raised will benefit the title organizations and the Prince George Arts micro-grant program that funds short-term art projects.
