A losing overtime effort for the Prince George Cougars against Kamloops

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- A 4-3 overtime setback for the Prince George Cougars (22-37-3-1) against the visiting Kamloops Blazers Sunday afternoon at CN Centre.
Connor Bowie, Riley Heidt, and Jonny Hooker all scored in the first period for Prince George. Ty Young was terrific in net for the Cougars,stopping 41 of 45 shots and was named the game’s first star.
The loss dropped Prince George to 9th place in the WHL Western Conference . The top 8 make the playoffs . The Cats ,with 5 games remaining in the regular season , host the Kelowna Rockets Tuesday and Wednesday night, and Victoria on Saturday . They close out the season with games in Kamloops April 15th and Kelowna on the 16th.
