RCMP responds to multiple motor vehicle incidents

PRINCE GEORGE—Prince George RCMP is responding to multiple motor vehicle incidents this morning.

A semi-truck crashed this morning around 8:00 a.m. near Salmon Valley Road and the Hart Highway. No serious injuries have been reported in the incident; however, the truck is completely blocking the highway in both directions. Delays are expected into the mid to late morning.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on the 6700 block of Cranbrook hill police responded to a motor vehicle incident. One individual was transported to hospital with injuries, the extent of which is unknown. There are multiple vehicles on the side of the road that is slowing traffic in both directions. Expect delays for several hours.

“We are urging drivers to slow down and use caution this morning, as our unexpected weather pattern has disrupted the usual morning commute,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP. “The roads are unusually slick today and many people have already removed their winter tires, further complicating the issue.”
