Prince George Cougars lose a hard fought battle with Kelowna in overtime
PRINCE GEORGE, BC- A 1-0 overtime loss for the Prince George Cougars (22-37-4-1) to the Kelowna Rockets Tuesday night at CN Centre.
The Cats did pick up a point ,moving them into a tie for eighth place in the Western Conference with the Spokane Chiefs, and one point back of the Vancouver Giants and Victoria Royals who are tied for sixth.
Cougars goalie Ty Young was outstanding , stopping 35 of 36 shots and was named the game’s first star.
The Rockets’ Tyson Feist scored the game-winner 62-seconds into overtime. Talyn Boyko was sharp again against Prince George. The 19-year-old Rockets’ goaltender stopped all 21 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season.
