Local animal rescue in need after recent influx of animals coming in

PRINCE GEORGE– Over the weekend Luvs Northern Animal Rescue was out at Hunniford Gardens for their Shop and Adopt event. They are a Prince George, based animal rescue that provides humane education, care, and medical services to remote northern communities.

However, after helping so many animals in need over the past year, and a recent influx of animals coming in, medical bills have forced them to close for the time being.

On Saturday the group was at Hunniford Gardens trying to raise money with a bake sale while also showing off some puppies who need a home and explaining how to register for animals. The community once again showed support as many residents donated items whether it was pet food, litter boxes, toys, or even just cash donations.
