RCMP encourage PG residents to avoid driving on snowy roads

Apr 19, 2022 | 7:57 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — If you don’t have to drive today, don’t.

That’s the message from the Prince George RCMP as the snow falls and covers city roads, making them slick and slippery to drive on.

“The RCMP are encouraging people to not drive today if at all possible,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “And if you must drive, get up early, leave early and take it really slow please.”

All of this as Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Prince George with 15 centimetres of the white stuff expected to fall today.
