Tim Bennett takes on leadership role with BCSTA

PRINCE GEORGE — Tim Bennett is the new vice-president of the BC School Trustees Association (BCSTA).

Bennett, a school trustee with the Prince George School District, was acclaimed to the position during last night’s BCSTA’s annual general meeting in Vancouver. Bennett has been on the association’s board of directors since 2018.

Moving forward, Bennett says he wants to be involved in initiatives like implementing the new curriculum recognizing our Indigenous history and implementing the action plans around Bill 41 – the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People’s Act.

The BCSTA is the coalition of all public school trustees in the province.
