The book sale is back!
PRINCE GEORGE – It’s back and the line up outside the library doors prior to opening attests to the popularity of the book sale at the Prince George Public Library.
“I think people are really excited. There has been a backlog,” says Jen Rubadeau with the PG Public Library. “Usually we have about two book sales a year. So we’ve missed out on five book sales. Here we are. About to host our first one in two years.”
The event runs today until 5:30 and again tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. And it is a significant fundraiser put on by the Friends of the Prince George Public Library.
“I know it’s a very popular event,” explains Margaret Johnston, Past-President of the Friends of the PG Public Library. “We get lots of people asking ‘When’s the next book sale?’ We’ve got loads of books. I think it’s going to be a very good sale. And, of course, all of the money goes back to the library.”
