Gas leak forces evacuation of downtown building

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The gas leak downtown has been contained.

It happened this morning on the 1000 block of Victoria Street.

RCMP say the cause is not considered suspicious and those that were evacuated have been allowed back inside.

Earlier:A gas leak has forced the evacuation of a building on the 1000-block of Victoria Street.

RCMP say Prince George Fire Rescue are on scene and are asking everyone to avoid the area to allow crews room to work.
