RCMP arrest suspect in relation to break and enter at car dealership
PRINCE GEORGE—RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter on the 2800 block of Highway 16 west just before 5 a.m. on May 5, 2022.
Moments later police received a report of an injured man less than a block away. Police arrived to find the man with an injured hand. A police service dog team attended the scene of the break-in and tracked a scent to the location of the injured man.
“The suspect was arrested for the break-and-enter. After his arrest, police found some items with him that belonged to the business where the break-in occurred. The suspect attended the hospital for treatment of his injuries, and was released from police custody on an Undertaking with a future court date,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
Police already attended the site of the break-in once earlier in the morning for a report of a car on fire.
