Budget Consultations for 2023 are now open

BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services’ Budget 2023 consultation is now open.

Every year, the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services holds a public consultation on the next provincial budget. This year, the consultation will take place between May 30, 2022, and June 24, 2022.

Public hearings will be held beginning Monday, June 6, 2022, with the presentation of the Budget 2023 Consultation Paper by the minister of finance.

As participation in the budget consultation continues to increase each year, the Committee has looked at ways to simplify and standardize the consultation process to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate effectively. As such, this year, the Committee will be asking participants to focus their written input and presentations on their top three recommendations for the provincial budget.
