RCMP investigate assault on Victoria Street

PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are seeking witnesses to an assault that occurred on Victoria Street and 12 Avenue.

RCMP say it occurred just after 1 p.m. today (May 30) with witnesses telling police they saw several people beating up one man, who was on the ground.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says police arrested one man in connection with the assault and continue to gather evidence on the incident.

“The victim was located and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. We have spoken with multiple witnesses to the event and those those who stayed behind to speak with police about what they saw.”
