Crews break ground on new daycare

PRINCE GEORGE — Construction on a new daycare on Malaspina Avenue is officially underway, according to a post on the City of Prince George’s Facebook page.
The new daycare will be operated by Kool Cats Kid Care and is projected to open in spring of 2023. It is located at 8008 Malaspina Avenue.
There will be 24 spaces for infants and toddlers, and 25 spaces for children aged 30 months to school-aged. For school-aged children, there will be 24 spaces, and there will be space for 20 preschoolers attending on a part-time basis.
The City’s website says Kool Cats Kid Care has been operating for 35 years and serves a total of 140 children.
