Update: Telus outage will affect northern service until late Wednesday morning
PRINCE GEORGE — Update: According to Telus’s service status map, the issue causing the outage has been resolved. The problem was reportedly caused by a tree falling on a utility line and damaging the cables.
Earlier: Telus says cable damage has prompted a service outage to some of its northern customers.
Impacted services include mobile text, mobile voice, Optik TV, home phone, mobile data, and the internet.
Impacted areas are Burns Lake, Granisle, Hazelton, Kitimat, Prince George, Smithers, Terrace and Topley.
