Host Society making ‘last-minute’ push for volunteers with BC Summer Games over a month away
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George 2022 BC Summer Games are 35 days away (as of Thursday, June 16) and the host society is still in need of a bunch of volunteers.
They are currently hovering around the halfway mark of the total number of volunteers they need to put on what they’re hoping will be the ‘best games ever’. When they originally made the call out for volunteers, they said they would need 3,000 to help put the four-day event on.
While the host society is hoping there will be a last-minute surge in volunteer applications, they are beginning to reevaluate their volunteer strategy to determine what are ‘must haves’ and where they might be able to make some alterations. However, Host Society President Renee McCloskey stands firm on wanting to ensure Prince George is providing the athletes with the best possible experience.
