Indigenous People’s Day celebrations take over Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park

PRINCE GEORGE—Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park is playing host to National Indigenous People’s Day celebrations today.
Along with food, arts and Indigenous artisans, the bandshell will be hosting musical acts all day. This evening will see performances from The Joel West band, Kym Gouchie and the Rick Stavely Band.
Closing remarks will take that stage at 7 p.m. to bring a close to the festivities.
Despite the rain, over a thousand people were in the park celebrating earlier in the day and that number is expected to grow.
