Expert: Hospitality will need to pivot amongst labour shortages
PRINCE GEORGE – Many employers are struggling to find people to fill worker vacancies. Some businesses have begun to change the way they service customers. There is a potential that the future may look different for companies.
According to Elke Hierl-Steinbauer, the Bon Voyage Inn owner, the labour shortage started just before the COVID pandemic. Since then, the Bon Voyage team has worked extra hours to keep customers happy.
Hierl-Steinbauer says the worker shortage will not end anytime soon for those in the hospitality industry.
