PRINCE GEORGE- It is an exciting day for those around Studio 2880 as A Moment in Nature Art Exhibition has its opening show. An event that welcomes back local artists and the art community of Prince George.

“It’s so amazing to see our local artists,” says Christina Watts, Gallery Coordinator for Studio 2880. “They work all year round, hiding away some of their art, and it’s so amazing. So, it’s great to get them to come out and put it on display for the world to enjoy.”

The gallery features local artist Wendy Barteluk, who finds inspiration all around her.

“Prince George, Northern B.C, there are a million lakes here. Rivers, forests, campgrounds, everywhere you go, there’s something that catches my eye, and I’m quite sure many other people, too,” said Barteluk.

The gallery will run until July 30 and will be open to the public Tuesdays to Thursdays from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where you can see all of Wendy’s work, including her favourite piece, a painting of the Mackenzie Trail where Wendy and her partner used to horse camp.

The studio told CKPG News that they are particularly excited about this gallery because of how unique it plans to be. With different experiences to match Wendy’s personality and paintings, including branches, scents and other sounds that’ll play during the gallery.
