Hospice care at home coming to Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society (PGHPCS) is developing a Hospice at Home program.

This new program will provide expert hospice care to those who choose to die at home and their families. The PGHPCS has been providing services to the community since 1987 and in 1995 the Rotary Hospice House admitted its first guest.

The PGHPCS says that most people wish to die at home and they want to help by providing home hospice care. Prince George would become the second location after Victoria Hospice to provide this service. The program is anticipated to start this fall.

PGHPCS is not government funded and relies on community support to keep their programs running. More information about how you can help can be found here.
