PRINCE GEORGE—Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC (BIGSNBC) is partnering with the Prince George Canoe and Kayak Club to offer free programming to youth living in Prince George this summer.

“We are excited to be partnering with the PG Canoe and Kayak Club (PGCK) team to offer this program to the community,” says Tim Bennett, Executive Director BIGSNBC.

The six-week program is being offered free of charge thanks to funding from MyPG Community Grant and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation. Everything needed to participate will be provided including transportation. The program will be run at West Lake Provincial Park.

“This program connects kids from the community with our club. This partnership fosters an inclusive environment for paddlers of all skills, removes the need to purchase equipment and creates a fun-based learning environment for participants,” said Bini Ball, President of the PGCK.
