RCMP investigate weekend shooting on Lalonde Road

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The RCMP originally reported the shooting occurred Sunday but have made a correction and say it occurred Saturday night just after 11 p.m.

Earlier: Local Mounties are investigating a weekend shooting.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says it happened just after 11 p.m. on Sunday night at a home on the 6200 block of Lalonde Road.

“Frontline police officers attended the location and confirmed several shots had hit the front of the house. No injuries were reported to police,” she says. “The investigation leads police to believe this was a targeted event. Our investigative support team is currently working to determine a suspect in this file.”
