Teen injured in hit & run on Highway 97 & 22nd Avenue

PRINCE GEORGE — The RCMP is seeking witnesses to a hit and run Wednesday night in Prince George.

Mounties say that at 9:30 p.m. a 13-year-old youth was hit by a semi-trailer truck near the intersection of Highway 97 South and 22nd Avenue.

The suspect vehicle was a burgundy commercial transport truck that was heading southbound on Highway 97 south at the time of the incident.

The driver returned to the area a short time later and was arrested by police for failing to remain at the scene of an accident. The youth was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
