PRINCE GEORGE- The Circus has taken over the Prince George Civic Centre for one fun-filled night.

“This circus has a more relaxed feel to it. You come to enjoy the show and don’t have to worry about anything going on,” said Nick Hero of The Great Benjamins Circus. “You just come relax. It’s in your face, but not obnoxiously in your face. It’s comfortable.”

The Great Benjamins Circus perform twice in Prince George, once in the afternoon and then again in the evening, a process they repeat all across Canada.

“We travel every day, so we build up in the morning. We do two shows and travel in the night waiting for the next city,” said Agusten Sanchez, a circus performer.

While the process of setting up and tearing down the circus every night takes a toll on those in the show, the circus life is extremely rewarding to those involved.

“Being completely honest, It’s incredibly tiring, but you do it, and everyone here loves it,” said Hero. “It’s like an addiction thing. You know, we said we work, we’re always tired, we always want to complain. At the end of the day, we wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. It’s like the best thing ever.”

The Benjamins Circus told CKPG News that families could expect 90 minutes of non-stop excitement and energy.
