PRINCE GEORGE- Thousands packed into the CN Centre parking lot Wednesday for the Night Market, An event for local businesses to showcase their goods to PG.

“126 vendors, It’s amazing,” said Patti Perrault, the event organizer. “I started my business doing markets, so it’s nice that businesses have an opportunity to get out with the public.”

For small businesses, town events like the night market are how their business thrives.

“The head start has been excellent,” said Cassandra Fairman of Weir-Dough Cookies. “it’s just nice to bring everybody together.”

“Patti is amazing,” said Carrol Dennison of Epicure. “There are so many people here that just get an opportunity to come and visit and socialize.”

The market not only had local shops but food trucks, live music and even animals from the PG Animal Rescue Society.

“The Vendor fees, less are expenses, are going to the PG Animal Rescue Society,” said Perrault.”We’re hoping to raise $5000 for the animal rescue. So it’s just a win-win. Local charity, local businesses and the local community.”

While the exact number is still unknown, Patti told CKPG Thursday that they surpassed their $5000 goal Wednesday night.
