Vehicle incident closes Highway 16 west of Vanderhoof overnight

UPDATE (3 p.m.): BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says they transported one person to hospital from this crash. BCEHS does not comment on whether patients died in accidents.

UPDATE (10 a.m.): DriveBC says the Highway is now open in both directions.

VANDERHOOF — Traffic on Highway 16 has been reduced to single-lane alternating about five kilometres west of Vanderhoof after a vehicle incident late Saturday (July 30) night.

DriveBC originally reported the highway closed at 11 p.m. and the single lane didn’t open for about four more hours.
