CHILLIWACK – The Prince George Kodiaks were able to narrow the Valley Huskers’ lead to a single score in the fourth quarter, but as injuries mounted the Huskers were able to pull away late for a 34-17 victory.

The win was the Huskers’ second in a row after defeating the reigning champs, the Langley Rams, 14-7 the week prior.

As for the Kodiaks, they’re still in search of their first win in franchise history after being handed their third loss in as many games to start their inaugural campaign.

The Kodiaks and Huskers will face each other again this weekend, however, the Kodiaks will look to have the edge as it will be the Huskers travelling for the game.

Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and kickoff is expected to come at 7:00 p.m.
