Kodiaks’ Keon Raymond Jr named BCFC Defensive Player of the Week
PRINCE GEORGE – The BC Football Conference revealed their weekly awards and for the second consecutive week, a member of the Prince George Kodiaks has been recognized.
Defensive back Keon Raymond Jr was named the BCFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Raymond was lights out in the Kodiaks’ 28-20 win over the Valley Huskers last Saturday. In what was the defence’s best performance this season, forcing their first three turnovers of the season, Keon Raymond made his presence known. He registered three tackles last weekend, while adding two pass knockdowns and came up with a quarterback sack from his defensive halfback position.
But Raymond’s biggest play of the night? A 70-yard interception return for a touchdown, which drastically tilted the tide of the game in favour of the Kodiaks.
