Cougars dumped 6 – 4 by first place Everett
EVERETT, WA – Despite the best effort of netminder Ty Young, the Prince George Cougars fell 6 – 4 in Everett last night (Oct. 8).
Young stopped 49 of 54 Silvertips shots to keep Prince George in the game. Everett jumped out to a 3 – 0 lead before the Cougars offense awoke.Chase Wheatcroft, Koehn Ziemmer and Caden Brown scored within a span of 4:12 in the second period to tie the game.
However Everett answered back with two goals late in the period, and added an empty net goal in the third to secure the victory. With eight points in five games, the Silvertips are tied for first place in the Western Conference with Seattle and Portland.
Riley Heidt also scored for the Cougars who saw their record drop to 3 – 3 – 0 – 0 on the season.
