LANGLEY — The Prince George Cougars took to the road and are back in the win column following Friday’s (October 21) win over the Vancouver Giants.

In a 5-1 win, the Cougars proved to be too much to handle for Vancouver as they held a multi-goal lead for the majority of the game.

The Cougars came out hot in the first frame scoring three straight goals.

Koehn Ziemmer scored the final goal of the period for PG to add to the lead marking his sixth of the season.

Carlin Dezainde scored his first goal of the season for the Cougars in the second period leading 4-0 heading into the final period.

Ethan Samson added PG’s fifth goal of the night and his second of the game in the third which was followed by a Giants goal but appeared to be too little too late as PG led 5-1.

The win improves the Cougars’ record to 4-5-0 while the Giants drop to 1-5-1.

PG now heads to Kamloops for a Saturday (October 22) night battle against the Blazers at 7:00 p.m. at the Sandman Centre.
