To Your Health – Walking

PRINCE GEORGE — As winter approaches and the weather outside gets frightful, our opportunities for outdoor exercise are reduced, but walking is something that can be done year round and can be beneficial for both our physical and mental health.

Sue McDonald, owner of On the Ground Counselling, provides walk therapy to her clients and she says that for some it helps to not be sitting in a room. Sue also says that getting out in nature is another good way to help put your mind at ease and think more clearly.

Glen Mikkelsen, manager of entertainment at the CN Centre, says that they will be open throughout the winter for people to come walk indoors and to avoid the cold weather.
