UNBC Basketball set to tip off season tonight

PRINCE GEORGE– After a long preseason, both the men’s and woman’s UNBC Basketball teams took to the court this week, preparing for their home opener. Players from both teams are looking forward to playing regular-season basketball once again.

Both teams will be taking on the Trinity Western Spartans. On the woman’s side, Trinity Western finished last year as one of the better teams with a 15-3 record. However, they have been preparing for them all week during practice.

Last year the woman finished with an 8-10 record making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs before falling to Regina. This year the team has added some new players. One of them being Amrit Manek who already feels welcomed in her first year.
