Cougars hold off Chiefs for 5-3 win Saturday
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars came out on top Saturday night beating the Spokane Chiefs 5-3.
With the win, the Cougars extend their winning streak to three games as Ty Young stopped 37 of the 40 shots he faced.
PG scored effortlessly throughout the night as Noah Boyko and Chase Wheatcroft extended the lead in the second period.
The Chiefs battled back though in the third period when Cade Hayes rifled a shot past Young to make it a one-goal game.
