PRINCE GEORGE– When the Unversity of Northern British Columbia hosts its annual Legacy event it’s usually bright and early as a Legacy Breakfast, however, on Thursday the Timberwolves hosted their 8th annual Legacy Night. But, despite the time change, the support for Timberwolves athletes was entirely the same.

The event that saw many guest speakers including Kaleb Dahlgren, a survivor of the Humboldt Broncos accident that claimed 16 lives and left only 13 survivors. However, no matter how much Dahlgren has been through he always loves to share his story with others.

Dahlgren, a former student-athlete, was more than happy to come to and speak at the event. It makes it even more special for him to know he has an effect on UNBC Students because they can relate to him.

The night also featured some former Timberwolves like Tofa Fakunle who is one of many Twolves on the Wall of Honour. For him, it was great to be back in Prince George a place he says will always be home.

Overall the Legacy night was a massive success with every dollar raised going directly towards scholarships and bursaries for TWolves student-athletes. Athletics Director Loralyn Murdoch couldn’t be more thankful to the community.

The total amount of money raised will be released later this week, however, the University is expecting a new record for Legacy events.
