PRINCE GEORGE — It took only 38 seconds for Riley Heidt to snap a Koehn Ziemmer two-on-one pass into the net to give Prince George a quick lead against Everett Friday night, but the hometown Cougars were unable to build any momentum off the goal, falling 4 – 2 to the Silvertips.

Everett roared back from the quick goal to score three of their own before the first period was over, outshooting the Cougars 23 – 7 in the process. Ryan Hofer led the attack with two goals in the period, finishing the game with 3 points.

Ziemmer scored the Cougars second goal of the game late in the second period to cut the Everett lead to 3 – 2 through 40 minutes.

But Jesse Heslop’s goal at 4:00 of the third period allowed the Silvertips to cruise to the victory, their second in a row.
