UNBC T-Wolves start 2023 with victory over Bisons

PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC Timberwolves opened the second half of the CIS womens basketball campaign with a dominating 85 – 49 win over the University of Manitoba Bisons at the Northern Sport Centre Friday (Jan. 7).

Alina Shakirova scored a game-high 21 points and was among five players that reached double digits in scoring. Brynn Endicott led the Bison with 13 points.

It is the second win in nine starts for the T-Wolves this season. Meantime the Bison has now lost all nine of their games.

The two clubs meet again Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Northern Sport Centre.
