PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are seeking your help in locating a missing person.

Police say 52-year-old Matthew Michael Turyk was last seen Friday night (Jan.27) and has not been heard or seen from since.

He’s described as:

  • 168 cm (5’6”)
  • 70 kg (154lbs)
  • Hazel eyes
  • Sandy hair
  • Driving a black 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with black canopy • B.C. license plate 4002 KE
  • Truck says AMJ Installations on the windows

“Michael was last seen leaving his residence on Friday, January 27, 2023 around 9:20 p.m. in his black 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. He has not contacted any of his family or friends since that time,” says RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“His family states Michael has a hunting and fishing spot near West Lake that he sometimes frequents, but they do not know exactly where the location is. Michael’s family is very concerned for his wellbeing as it is out of character for him to not check in with them on a regular basis.”

If anyone sees Michael or his vehicle, they are asked to contact the Prince George RCMP nonemergency line by calling 250-561-3300 to speak with police. Quote file number 2023-3131.
