Cowboy Challenge puts horses and equestrians to the test

PRINCE GEORGE — A group of equestrians gathered in Chief Lake for a very interesting, but tricky competition.

At Crossroads Ranch, the Cowboy Challenge took place. The competitors had to complete a course within 7 minutes, with some challenges proving tricky for both horse and rider.

After the all the competitors had completed the course, they received training from Myrna Thiessen, owner of Crossroads and a horse trainer. The competitors then went on to do the course again after their training to see if they could get a better time than their first go. Myrna hopes to have the event run more regularly.
