RCMP investigating fatal MVI south of 150 Mile House

150 MILE HOUSE — One person is dead and another seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash south of 150 Mile House Friday (Feb.10).

BC Highway Patrol says at 12:35 p.m. that day they received a report of a crash where an occupant was ejected from a vehicle following a rollover.

“Preliminary findings suggest that two southbound vehicles collided as one was attempting to pass. One occupant died at the hospital and another is still in hospital with serious injuries,” says BC Highway Patrol.

“Highway 97, south of 150 Mile House was closed for a period of time, to allow a collision analyst with the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstructionist Services team to conduct a full examination of the scene. The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is also conducting an independent and concurrent fact-finding investigation.”
